Bir Hacheim (arab). Dog-wells, desert fort south from Ghasala with 1,200 fight stands in rock nests to the defense. B. if end was May 1942 the most southern 'box' of the brit. defense position of Tobruk, held by the 1. free French Brigade (King), the first bigger French fight group after the breakdown 1940.
